A finales de abril recibimos a Jo y Sian que venían desde tierras británicas con un propósito muy concreto: ver la alondra ricotí. Con el fin de lograr este propósito visitamos algunas de las estepas del sur de Navarra y, no sólo vimos muy bien dicho alaúdido, sino que además dimos con otras aves interesantes como ganga ibérica, curruca tomillera, alimoche común, cogujada montesina, terrera común y muchos más. Otra de las aves deseadas era el pico dorsiblanco, pero no es esta la época más adecuada para encontrarlos pues se muestran extremadamente esquivos por estar en plena reproducción. No obstante lo intentamos y disfrutamos de los lugares y muchas otras aves.

In late April we got the visit of Jo and Sian that came from England with a very important target: to see the Dupont's Lark. To make this possible we went to the steppes in Southern Navarra, where we found the desired species, and also others as Pin-tailed Sandgrouse, Spectacled Warbler, Egyptian Vulture, Thekla Lark, Greater Short-toed Lark and many others. We also tried to find the White-backed Woodpecker, another desired species, but this was very difficult because in these days the woodpeckers are extremely shy as they are in middle of their breeding season. Anyway we enjoyed birdwatching in great locations and with many other birds.
